Lavonia Speedway - Lavonia, GA

What an exciting race! Our hearts couldnt have raced faster to see Jerry's car running so strong. While the race was run with both the v6 and v8 classes Jerry took a commanding lead in his field and was having a good time running with the v8 class cars. We are really looking forward to the noise, the smell of fuel, and the excitment of the next race! Come Join us!

“In the absence of our regular photographer no actual pictures were made of the race.  We do however have 60 pictures of the track and fence.  Jerry won again!!  The 41 Buck Simmons tribute car is making us proud!  See you at Lanier!”

LANIER National - Photo's

The Lanier Race was nothing short of a family reunion with at best count 70 people in attendance on the hill cheering for the gold car.  Jerry’s entire William’s family clan turned out.  Uncle Lane said it best when he said there would not have been this good of a turn out at a family reunion.  It meant a lot for Jerry to look up on the hill and see his whole family, some good friends and some new friends cheering him on.  He is still reeling from excitement!

He sure wasn’t going to let down the crowd who came out!  It was a really exciting race for those of us watching.  We got to see Jerry barely miss a spun out car in turn two and got to watch him pull through a fellow driver bump the Buck Simmons car only to spin himself out.  Jerry never realized he got hit until he saw the damage to his car and the video!  But we did.  And we were so proud of him.  Oh yeah, as if all of that wasn’t enough excitement and fun, Jerry won the race with a commanding lead.

We can’t wait for another Lanier reunion! And this time, it may be even more exciting thanks to a couple of friends who surprised Jerry with a one-of gift…….stay tuned!!

Another good run with a second place finish.

Slick track, a lot of fun and a lot of good people at the Talledega Short Track this weekend. We were excited to have Buck Simmons at the race. We took home our first official win and look forward to more! As always it was a great the way, women will always find a way around the rules. I guess they can park in the pits! See where we found them when the hot laps were over!

Jerry William’s first race in Phenix City, AL proved to be a success by taking second. Both the racers and the fans had a really good time with these vintage racecars.  We really appreciate the hospitability that East Alabama Motor Speedway and the NVRA showed in letting us cover this race. It was a lot of fun and we are looking forward to the next one!
